Jazz piano croons through radio static, Thelonius Monk molding arpeggio melodies while your date – black dress, black heels, blueberry lips – hangs a wayward hand out the window. After cherry-garnished vieux carrés and candied violets over vanilla crème brûlée, you’re exploring the white leather backseat in a parking garage. Then, it’s back to the steakhouse, just in time to toss the owner his keys.”
